Sandy Truong an emerging writer currently working on her first poetry collection and chapbook based on Chinese Fairy Tales & Myths. She’s a Brooklynite who believes everyone will find their happy ending. A Disney girl at heart, she loves to write about fairy tales, myths, and everything supernatural. She currently holds and MFA in Poetry from The New School. Thus far, her work has only appeared in the Fjord’s Review. By day she’s an administrative assistant and by night she’s talking to her muse. When she’s not writing she enjoys cooking and baking for her loves ones, sleeping in late, and binge watching her favorite shows.
Why Kim?
So I guess I have to explain why it’s SandyKTruong.com instead of just SandyTruong.com and where on earth Kim came from. Well long story short Sandy Truong is just too popular of a name for Vietnamese Americans so the website has been taken, thus SandyKTruong.com was born. Kim is my Vietnamese name, it either means gold or needles and my full Vietnamese name is Truong Tien Kim, yes last name first. Don’t judge. Those who know me don’t even know I have a Vietnamese name let alone a middle name of Tien but anyways I digress. This is my little spiel about why it’s Sandy Kim Truong for my website and not Sandy Truong. Shocked? Appalled? Leave me a comment below on how you feel about this revelation.
